Speaking at a Tuesday forum on media and religious discourse in Egypt, Amr Mamdouh El-Leithy said Islamophobic and anti-Islamic measures are growing in the world, EL-Balad News reported.
The forum was organized by Egypt’s Awqaf ministry in the 6th of October City near Cairo.
It was attended by senior scholars from India.
In his speech, El-Leithy also talked about how to combat Islamophobia via the media and the issue of moral criteria in media discourse.
Egypt’s Awqaf ministry has held an advanced curse for the Indian scholars as well as a number of university officials and heads of religious and cultural institutes.
